Toll box (OBU): the Dutch truck toll sorted

With our partner Axxes, you get the toll box for the Dutch truck toll and for tolls across Europe. We install it, and the platform shows how many toll kilometres were driven on each trip.

Paying tolls and passing them on

Who it's for
Trucks and heavy vans over 3,500 kg (categories N2 and N3). Since 1 July 2026, they have been subject to the truck toll in the Netherlands.
The problem
The toll requires a toll box (OBU). And the toll invoice shows one total per vehicle, while your customer wants to see how many toll kilometres were driven for their jobs.
The solution
With our partner Axxes. Axxes supplies the toll box for the Dutch truck toll and for tolls across Europe, except in the Czech Republic. The FleetMCP platform produces a truck toll report with the toll kilometres per trip, so you can pass the toll on to your customers.
Installation
Who installs it? We do. We work with a network of top telematics installers, all SCM certified. We install in the Netherlands and Belgium, and in other countries on a project basis. We fit the toll box, during the same appointment as the tracker or dashcam if you wish.

  4. Passing it onThe platform shows how many kilometres of each trip were on the toll network. You attach that report to your invoice.

Why total kilometres are not enough

You only pay for kilometres on the toll network: all motorways plus a number of designated regional and local roads. Kilometres driven outside it don't count. If you pass the toll on based on total kilometres, you charge too much or too little without knowing it. The report in the platform shows, per vehicle and per period:

  • Total kilometres driven alongside the kilometres on the toll network
  • Which toll roads those kilometres were driven on, with standard road numbers
  • The rate and the amount, based on the vehicle's weight and emission class
  • As PDF or Excel, or automatically in your inbox every month
